About this policy

Vey is operated by VEY Pty Ltd, ABN 88 609 477 830. This policy covers visits to vey.com.au and enquiries and related communications with Vey through the contact channels listed on the website.

Vey is subject to the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

It does not describe how every client product handles its users’ information. Where a project involves personal information, the relevant responsibilities and handling arrangements need to be addressed for that project.

02

Visiting the website

The website provides information about our services and product concepts. It has no contact form, account registration or online payment facility. Enquiries are not submitted to or stored in a website enquiry database.

Fonts and images are served with the website. The website does not embed third-party maps, videos or chat widgets.

Cloudflare Workers hosts the website. Cloudflare processes technical information to deliver traffic and protect the website. This can include IP addresses, traffic routing data and system configuration information.

03

Cookies, browser storage and analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand website visits and performance and improve our content and usability. Reports can include page views, referring websites, visitor countries, browser and device information, and page loading and responsiveness metrics. Cloudflare processes the analytics information and provides the resulting reports to Vey.

Cloudflare Web Analytics uses a JavaScript beacon and does not use cookies or browser storage to collect usage metrics or fingerprint individual visitors. Cloudflare’s website delivery and security services separately process the technical information described above.

Language is selected through English and Chinese page links rather than a saved preference in localStorage or sessionStorage. Menus, image viewers and copy confirmations use temporary page state. Your browser may also cache website files.

When you select “Copy email”, the website asks your browser to copy our public email address to your clipboard. It does not read your clipboard contents.

Read Cloudflare’s Web Analytics privacy information. You can control JavaScript and cookies through your browser settings; blocking the analytics script may prevent your visit from appearing in reports.

04

When you contact us

Selecting an email or phone link opens the relevant application on your device. The website does not send a message or place a call on your behalf. The WhatsApp and Telegram links take you to the respective services.

If you contact Vey, we receive the information you choose to share. Depending on the channel and your message, this can include your name, email address, phone number, WhatsApp or Telegram profile details, your business and project context, and any messages or attachments you send. You can start with a general or anonymised overview. Without a way to contact you, we may not be able to reply.

We collect and use enquiry information to respond to you, assess your requirements, discuss proposals and next steps, and keep a record of those communications. We may also use relevant information to handle privacy requests, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.

We do not separately export enquiry information to a CRM, cloud drive or AI tool, or pass it to external collaborators. We do not make audio or video recordings, transcriptions or automated summaries of communications through our email, WhatsApp, Telegram or telephone enquiry channels.

05

Service providers and overseas handling

The services involved in website visits and enquiries include:

  • Cloudflare, for website hosting, delivery, protection and Web Analytics, and the associated technical and analytics information.
  • Zoho, for delivery and storage of email messages and attachments.
  • WhatsApp, Telegram and telephone providers, when you choose those contact channels.
  • Online meeting providers, such as Google Meet, Zoom or Microsoft Teams, if we arrange a meeting. The platform may process participant details, connection information and material shared during the meeting, depending on its features and settings.

Our business email service is provided by Zoho, with email messages and attachments hosted in its United States data centre. Cloudflare operates globally and describes processing in the United States, the European Economic Area and other locations. Messaging and meeting services may also process information outside Australia; locations depend on the service and your account region. WhatsApp identifies the United States among its processing locations.

We use these providers for the purposes described in this policy. We may also disclose relevant information where required or authorised by law, including in response to a lawful court or regulatory request.

Provider information is available in Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy, Zoho’s Privacy Policy, WhatsApp’s Privacy Policy and Telegram’s Privacy Policy. These descriptions do not replace Vey’s responsibilities for information it handles.

06

Security, storage and retention

We use multi-factor authentication for our business email, password-protected devices and access restrictions to help protect enquiry records against misuse, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Enquiry emails are held in our business mailbox; messages sent through other channels may remain in the relevant service and on the devices used to access it. Retention depends on the purpose of the communication, ongoing discussions and any legal or dispute-related need to keep the record. We review the need to retain enquiry emails annually; this is not a fixed one-year retention period.

When personal information is no longer needed for a permitted purpose and retention is not legally required, we take reasonable steps to delete it or de-identify it. You can request deletion of enquiry records. Some information may need to be retained to meet legal obligations or deal with a dispute. Removal from an active account does not necessarily remove provider backups immediately or copies held by other participants.

07

Privacy requests and complaints

You can request access to personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate, outdated or incomplete information, or request deletion. Vey handles these requests and privacy complaints directly. Email cs@vey.com.au, call +61 432 712 222, or write to the address in section 10. Please describe the information or concern and how we can reply; no particular form is required.

We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify your identity and locate the relevant records. We respond to access and correction requests within a reasonable period, generally within 30 days. If we cannot provide access or make a requested correction, we will explain the reasons in writing, subject to legal exceptions, and how you can complain. There is no charge to make a request or to correct your information.

For a complaint, please tell us what happened and the outcome you are seeking. We will acknowledge the complaint, review the relevant records and circumstances, and provide a response explaining our findings and any proposed action. We aim to respond within 30 days; if more time is needed, we will explain the delay and expected response time.

If your privacy complaint is not resolved with Vey, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). The OAIC generally expects you to complain to the organisation first and allow it 30 days to respond.

08

Sharing sensitive project information

You do not need to send client names, internal datasets, passwords or details of an unreleased product in your first message. A general or anonymised overview is a useful starting point. We can discuss confidentiality arrangements before you share sensitive project material.

09

Updates

We review this policy as our website and information handling practices change. The current version is published on this page with its last updated date. An update does not by itself authorise a new use or disclosure of information; any required notice or consent will be addressed separately.
